EarthYield Advisories supports the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) in designing a national Climate Data Repository that enables evidence-based climate adaptation planning and adaptation finance decisions across sectors and government levels.

The Repository is conceived as a strategic knowledge infrastructure under NITI Aayog. It is intended to make available adaptation information easier to use for policy and project development, and to connect it to finance allocation decisions, including through modelling capabilities that help interpret and apply the data.

Our assignment:

Our assignment focuses on the conceptual design and implementation roadmap. Core deliverables include an overarching repository framework design, a data mapping and acquisition strategy covering hazard, vulnerability, exposure and socio-economic datasets, and the scoping of an adaptation finance module to support transparency, investment prioritisation and alignment with national and international funding streams.

More information and publication regarding this assignment will be published in the future.

Project duration: Nov 2025 to Aug 2026.
